The sleeper bus also caught fire
The sleeper bus also caught fire. The fire was so intense that vehicles passing on the highway and those parked nearby came to a halt. A private sleeper bus traveling from Udaipur to Jaipur also caught fire. There were 34 passengers in the bus, of whom 20 were injured. Approximately 18 tons gas leaked from the tanker nozzle, creating a gas cloud that spread up to half a kilometer from the accident site. Due to the collision with the truck, sparking occurred, which led to a fire.
Jaipur Police Commissioner Biju George Joseph explained that after the collision, the safety valve and nozzle attached to the lower part of the filled tanker broke.
