Jaipur, Ajmer – 20 December 2024: A massive fire broke out on the Jaipur Ajmer highway in bhakrota area after an LPG and chemical truck collided, causing a fire in around 35 to 40 vehicles and 11 people were burned alive and 7 people were killed in a massive fire that broke out falling a truck collation outside the petrol pump in Jaipur early in morning on 20 December 2024 at around 5:30 am this happened in on Ajmer road when a CNG tanker park at the petrol pump caught fire after truck collided with other vehicles.

On Friday morning in Jaipur, on the Jaipur-Ajmer highway in the Bhakrota area, an explosion occurred when an LPG gas tanker, taking a U-turn, was hit from behind by an oncoming truck.

The sleeper bus also caught fire

The sleeper bus also caught fire. The fire was so intense that vehicles passing on the highway and those parked nearby came to a halt. A private sleeper bus traveling from Udaipur to Jaipur also caught fire. There were 34 passengers in the bus, of whom 20 were injured. The bus was following a tanker, and both the driver and conductor of the bus are missing

18 tons of gas spread in the air

Approximately 18 tons gas leaked from the tanker nozzle, creating a gas cloud that spread up to half a kilometer from the accident site. Due to the collision with the truck, sparking occurred, which led to a fire.

Jaipur Police Commissioner Biju George Joseph explained that after the collision, the safety valve and nozzle attached to the lower part of the filled tanker broke.

From a height of about 200 feet, several birds were also scorched. Due to the heat of the fire, a biker’s helmet stuck to his face, and his eyes were burnt.
